The 982 GT4 RS and Spyder RS variant include the newer "locked" H80 MG1 ECU's. These new ECU's have a longer work flow to unlock and flash hence the longer downtime and added costs*
With the M-Engineering ECU flash for the Porsche 982 GT4 RS and Spyder RS, adjustments are made to improve the throttle response, remove top speed limiters, adjust air/fuel ratios, and modify ignition timing and much more to improve the overall driving performance of the 4.0L flat-six engine. M-Engineering still utilizes all OEM ECU engine safety strategies.
We have base ECU Calibrations supporting the following vehicles:
- 982 GT4 RS
- 982 Spyder RS

The purpose of this feature is to quickly change between different power levels relating to the octane you are filling up with. This is all controlled via the cruise control stalk. Information on how to use Live Map Switching can be found here.
