A World First, Once Again

M-Engineering has been at the forefront of Porsche ECU tuning, and has spent countless hours of research and development to provide safe, powerful, and reliable performance improvements. The 992.2 T-Hybrid platform is no exception, and we are excited once again to be a World's First to such an incredible car. Our calibrations are all built in-house and tested on our Mainline ProHub Dyno, on the streets, mountain roads, canyons, and race tracks. This project has been in the works by the M-Engineering R&D and Calibration team for 12 months, with over 800 dyno pulls, hundreds of miles of road testing as well as validation testing out in spirited driving and track conditions.

M-Engineering's tuning strategy is drivetrain safety first, and power second. By utilizing this strategy and calibrating critical points such as the max torque the connecting rods will demand, the maximum revolutions of the E-Turbos, PID and boost-by-gear control, we are able to extract more power to these cars than would otherwise be possible. Adjustments are made to improve the throttle response, remove top speed limiters, optimize air/fuel ratios, increase boost, and modify ignition timing and much more to improve the overall driving performance of the new T-Hybrid platforms. M-Engineering still utilizes all OEM ECU engine safety strategies as well as our own custom engine safeties written with our unique code. M-Engineering's calibrations are world renowned seeing action in Motorsport racing series, world records set in drag racing events, and top times up Pikes Peak International Hill Climb, year after year.

T-Hybrid Custom Code
Available only from M-Engineering, our custom code, developed specifically for the T-Hybrid platform, maintains reasonable turbo shaft speed targets set by the ECU and MGU without over speeding the turbocharger. This is done with rigorously tested PID (Proportional, Integral, Derivate) control we wrote which continuously calculates between the desired target setpoint and the measured value of the turbo shaft speed to automatically adjust in real time. In addition to this, our custom Boost-By-Gear control means that no matter the gear and load the vehicle is in, specific setpoints of manifold pressure are targeted based on this so that the vehicle maintains the responsive and linear control the E-Turbos were designed for.

Porsche's new E-Turbo setpoints are hard coded into the ECU and MGU, meaning that if a code/DTC is set for turbo overspeed, the code cannot be cleared from the car until brand new E-Turbos are replaced and coded by the factory or dealer, normally resulting in repairs in excess of $17,000 for each turbo. With M-Tuner's custom code and patches, this code can be cleared in the very rare event it is tripped, and also cleared from a vehicle that may have seen this code before tuning on stock or other aftermarket calibrations.

SHIPPING NOTICE: “Neither this product nor the included M-Tuner v3 wireless dongle contains or ships with a battery.”

I was one of the first to get a 992.2 back in September 2024, and I was patiently waiting for this tune to come out. It will add close to 200 hp to the base 911 which is the reason why I did not go for the GTS there was absolutely no reason to spend all that money. Get the base, lower it put a stage one on it and you’re just as fast as anything that’s on the road today. I am a repeat customer. I put the tune on my 992.1 C4S and was absolutely mind blowing.

Definitely the best tuner I've ever dealt with and honestly the only one I trust 100%. I've dealt with an abundance of tuners over the last decades. Most of them overpromise and underdeliver. Not so M-Engineering. Not only did they provide a significant plus in hp and torque the also kept a factory "drive-ability". The M-Engineering support is outstanding (yes .. even after the purchase). They respond most of the time within hours and provide feature upgrades free-of-charge. Thanks M-Engineering!!

Live Map Switching

On-The-Fly Live Map Switching comes standard on all calibrations (Stage 1 and Stage 2). The purpose of this feature is to quickly change between different power levels relating to the octane you are filling up with. This is all controlled via the cruise control stalk. Information on how to use Live Map Switching can be found here.

Map Slots

Slot 1 - ACN91 (Arizona, California, Nevada 91)
Slot 2 - 91 Octane or 95RON
Slot 3 - 93 Octane or 98RON
Slot 4 - 100 Octane or 103RON
Slot 5 - Engine Safety (Detonation Defense)

Engine Safety Map Slot (Slot 5)

M-Engineering has written custom code for additional engine safeties beyond what is provided from the factory. Our engine tuning strategy has always been for engine safety first, and power second. This has allowed us to maintain vehicle reliability and have the most powerful calibrations on the market proven time and time again in competitive racing series, at the drag strip, and setting world records at Pikes Peak.

Our custom code has allowed us to implement what is called “Detonation Defense” which is an engine safety that detects excessive knock events. When knock events beyond a set threshold are met, within 20 milliseconds, the car will automatically be put into map slot 5 for a brief period of 10 seconds. In map slot 5, the car will have reduced power and engine load to prevent damage. This proactive approach protects your engine and allows power to return once conditions are again safe.

Packed with features

M-Engineering also has unique custom features for your Porsche which we include at the time of purchase. These are designed from custom code and are not available from other tuning solutions. These come standard on our OTS maps and are not configurable for change at the moment.

  • Raise Rev Limiter by 200rpms.
  • PSE Exhaust Valve Modifications (true ON or OFF function, no need to buy a standalone PSE valve controller). Adds sound and power without any hardparts modification. Active when PSE button is pushed or when in Sport / Sport +.
  • Loud Cold Start Elimination (Stage 2 only)
  • Auto Start/Stop Elimination
  • Free Revving in N (neutral, not Park), vehicle no longer capped at 3500rpm (PDK2 only, not available for manual)

Mail in your ECU

M-Flash for the 992.2 requires mailing in your ECU to our Pompano Beach, Florida facility for processing and unlocking the ECU. Expected turnaround time is 24 hours. This is due to the extensive security protocols within these ECUs which are labor intensive to get around. The ECU will be returned to you with the tune already installed and map switching active!

Yes. In the event this happens, contact M-Engineering for more details. The ECU will have to be unlocked again. The cost to do this is 50% of the original purchase price. Avoid having your ECU flashed over by the dealer.

I'm a tuner, can M-Engineering unlock an ECU so I can tune this myself?

No. Our tools are proprietary and for internal use only.

Why is this flash more expensive than 992.1?

Due to the nature of the labor intensive unlock process, the pricing of this flash is higher than the generation before it. It is possible this cost could go down if improvements are made to the security bypass. Our calibrations are all built from the ground-up with our M-Composer Tuning software. We do not use European server tune files for our calibrations. Our maps are all developed in-house with the M-Engineering calibration and engineering team. We are a proud and small family / employee owned business in the USA.
