Porsche decreased displacement to 3.0 liters (from 3.8L \u0026amp; 3.4L) but was still able to produce 414 HP and 368 TQ with twin turbos. We then graduated to optimizing 2D slices of the plenum in CFD, paying special attention to places where adverse pressure gradients that might cause separation. This allowed us to adjust curvatures on the plenum faces and build up our understanding of what was happening inside the pipe at full throttle.\u003c\/em\u003e\u003c\/p\u003e\n\u003cp\u003e\u003cem\u003eAfter we were satisfied with the 2D slices we graduated to 3D, adding in all the geometry to make this a plug and play bolt-on part with optimal performance characteristics. Other tuners traditionally will add fueling corrections when the boost pressure goes beyond this ceiling and merely guess at the actual boost pressure and let the turbo pressure control in open loop. Manifold pressure is the most vital part in the ECU's fuel mass calculation and ensures you have proper injector pulse width calculations for your target lambda.
